Florida mom of 10 year old who shot, killed neighbor to stand trial for manslaughter

A Florida woman's trial date has been set after her 10-year-old daughter allegedly shot and killed their neighbor, according to court documents.
A trial date for Lakrisha Isaac, 31, was set for April 29 by the Orange County Court House on Monday. Isaac is being charged with manslaughter after investigators say her 10-year-old daughter shot and killedLashuan Rodgers, 41, at their Orlando apartment complex on May 30, 2022.
Isaac was charged with manslaughter, culpable negligence, child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and aggravated assault with a firearm.
Isaac's daughter was arrested that night. However, due to her age, no information has been made public regarding her current situation. Isaac posted bond on Oct. 6, 2022.
What happened on May 30, 2022?
According to police, around 11:30 p.m., a shooting happened at the Jernigan Gardens apartments in Orlando.
Isaac approached Rodgers as she was with a man barbecuing for Memorial Day weekend, police said. Isaac was intoxicated while yelling at Rodgers about a previous dispute when police said Isaac threw the first punch and the two started fighting.
After the two were separated, police said Rodgers went back to reengage with Isaac. As she approached Isaac, the woman's 10-year-old daughter shot Rodgers twice in the head, police said.
"She shouldn't have hit my momma," the police said in their affidavit.
Orlando police officers arrived at the scene and found Rodgers suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Officers performed CPR on her to no avail. Paramedics who arrived moments later took Rodgers to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
What happened next?
Witnesses told police what happened and described Isaac and her daughter to officers at the scene who arrested the pair early the following morning.
When police interrogated the 10-year-old girl, she told officers that she grabbed a firearm from Isaac's adult friend, who was also at the scene. The girl told officers she was upset by Isaac and Rodgers fighting, and by Rodgers' threat to get her family to target the girl's mother.
The young girl told police due to her anger issues, she shot Rodgers in the head and was aware she was deceased after the shooting. The adult whose weapon was used took the firearm away from the young girl following the shooting, before the gun owner, Isaac and the girl all ran from the scene, police said.
Police said Isaac invoked her constitutional rights to a lawyer prior to questioning.
